CAPSTONE PROJECT

The naked eye is blind to the most extraordinary of things. These things are beautiful, and rare. Although the human eye can't see, cameras can. I have always been intrigued by the manipulation of photos and doing something different than every other photographer out there. I didn't want to be like every other sports photographer, so I put a twist on sports photography within this series.

My subject matter is sports. Whether it may be a still shot, or a portrait it is revolved around sports. Throughout the series I incorporate many works in which I manipulated them with light, and let people see what their eyes dont always catch. Going down to every minute detail of an athlete. I used the basic materials of a photographer, a camera, flash, studio lights, black background, yet I still accomplished something more complex than what these basic materials usually produce. What is my goal you ask? To see, and to show.

A special thanks to my project mentor, Mr. Wittenburg and my talented models: Amanda Ventresca, Kileigh Casey, Amanda Shroyer, Sydney Whybrew, Meghan Crouse, and Jamie Bossenbroek
